Journalist / News Presenter

CJP Media is looking for a passionate and confident Journalist / News Presenter to join our growing editorial team. This is an opportunity to be part of a newly founded digital news startup and play an important role in building our editorial identity from the ground up. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in current affairs, excellent communication skills, a good understanding of news and storytelling, and the confidence to present news for digital platforms. You will be involved in researching news, preparing scripts, presenting stories, and contributing to CJP Media's video and social media content.

Responsibilities

• Research and follow important national, political, business, technology, sports, entertainment, and public affairs stories.
• Identify important developments and interesting story angles.
• Write and prepare clear, accurate, and engaging news scripts.
• Present news stories confidently for video and social media platforms.
• Record short-form and long-form news videos when required.
• Explain complex topics in a simple and engaging manner.
• Verify information using credible and reliable sources before publishing.
• Collaborate with editors, writers, video editors, and the social media team.
• Participate in editorial discussions and contribute new story ideas.
• Help develop CJP Media's video news and digital journalism format.
• Maintain journalistic ethics, neutrality, accuracy, and responsible reporting.
• Stay updated with breaking news and major developments throughout the day.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Strong interest in journalism, current affairs, and news.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Hindi proficiency is a strong plus.
• Good communication and storytelling skills.
• Confident and clear on-camera presence.
• Ability to read and present news naturally rather than simply reading from a script.
• Strong research and fact-checking abilities.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Comfortable working with deadlines and a fast-moving news cycle.
• Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or related educational background is preferred, but strong candidates with relevant skills and experience are welcome.
